Finishing of leather, auxiliary work

The finishing paint for leather may involve additional processing of the leather before and after!

The finishing coat of leather may involve additional processing before and after. Today, I will introduce those processes. (1) Buffing: The grain side is finished by buffing with sandpaper. This is done on poor-quality leather to remove and correct scratches. After that, painting work is carried out. This process is also used when treating surfaces with a nap, such as nubuck and suede. (2) Polishing: The leather surface is rubbed and polished with felt or grinding stones. This adds smoothness and seals the pores. It is performed in the manufacturing process of nappa leather (a flexible and smooth leather), garment leather, gloves, and glove leather. *You can view detailed content on the blog through the related links.
